Renee and I were talking the other day about my cell phone plan and whether it would be affected by the Cingular and AT&T merger (those catchy ‘raising the bar’ commercials got us talking). Jonathan - never one to shy away from an eavesdropping opportunity - chimed in:
“They’re not deleting Cingular, are they? ‘Cause Pammy has Cingular and I don’t want her to lose service. And I think I’ll get Cingular for my service in a few years.”
We both cracked up, although I smirked a bit at his concern for Pammy and lack of interest in my well-being. Then, he had us laughing again tonight. We drove past a Cingular store on our way to dinner. He saw the sign and immediately felt better for his future service provider:
“Hey guys….I saw a sign with the Cingular logo. That’s good news…they’re not being deleted!”
Both Jonathan and Jake like to serve us food from the grill Jake got for his birthday. You definitely won’t eat gourmet from their restaurant though. Sometimes Jake gives you the whole hamburger and sometimes you just get the pickles! When he gives you a hotdog you only get the bun, but he always remembers to put ketchup on it! But what really counts is that he always puts his little chef’s hat on when he serves you!
Sure, it’s the title of one of the greatest rock-n-roll albums ever, but it’s also a good principle of website design. Everyone has told me to ditch the front page to the site, so I have.
The other day, when I wandered into the kitchen on coffee break, Jake came bumbling over to me with a determined look on his face. He tugged on my shirt and pulled me down so he could get his face right in front of mine, and then proudly said “Daddy Jonathan school.”
Here’s the video that I took of Jonathan as Honorary Captain of the Toledo Storm. I especially love how the announcer says “Legos” when he is telling the crowd what Jonathan likes to do!
I installed a new “lightbox” feature that seems pretty slick. It allows you to open an image in a lightbox window that appears above the page you’re viewing, without have to navigate off the page.
Here’s a quick video clip from the Jonathan’s Storm game the other night. The video starts just as he’s ‘regaining his footing’ after giving high-fives to everyone on the bench. Nice job, kiddo.
