Matt had a meeting in Florida a couple of weeks ago, so the kids and I and Aunt Pam went along too! The resort had a rock wall and Jonathan met the safety requirements exactly (42 in. tall and 40 lbs.)! He was determined to make it to the top. There was one set of rocks that was really difficult for him. You could just see him staring at it and trying to think of a way to do it! In our home video you can hear Matt yelling up to him that he doesn’t have to reach the top. Jonathan just ignored him and he eventually made it all the way up!

It is Linds. Jonathan is so big. He is so brave for a little kid. He can totally do anything that he wants to do right now. He amazes me.

Johnathan looks like he’s grown several inches! Who’s the girl next to him? He’s a little daredevil, isn’t he?
He is quite the daredevil. The best part about this, though, was his determination…which is quickly becoming a characteristic that defines him. He initially made it about 75% of the way up the wall, which was probably 30ft high. There was a group of rocks at the top that gave him trouble, and he tried for about 10 minutes to get around them…but finally decided to come down.
On the ground, he told us he wanted to think about it for awhile, and then try again. So, about 30 minutes later, he strapped himself back in, and went up the wall again. He got to the same group of rocks, and started trying his different ’strategies’ (his word) that he had thought of. It took him about 15 minutes, but he finally made it past that group and touched the top of the wall.
No clue who the girl is next to him.
